About me

I have witnessed the power of psychotherapy to improve people’s lives. I approach clinical practice with the belief that personal development and larger social change go hand in hand and that bringing about social justice necessitates that we transform as individuals, communities, and societies. Psychotherapy with me is grounded in recognizing the global factors (oppressions and privileges) shaping individuals while incorporating an understanding of personal responses to lived experience.

I blend psychotherapeutic approaches and draw frequently on mindfulness, harm reduction, anti-oppression/social justice, and attachment theory. Techniques include interactive present moment awareness, the use of cognitive behavioral exercises, and motivational interviewing. I work in partnership with clients with a warm, engaged, and client-centered style.

Prior to my licensure as an LCSW I completed post-graduate internships at Queer LifeSpace and Alliance Health Project.

My professional interests include:  couples/dyads and non-traditional/chosen family relationships, gender issues, body image, twinship relationships and sibling issues, aging & illness, substance use, anxiety, self defeating behaviors.

My standard individual psychotherapy fee is $150 per 50-minute session. Please contact me if you need to negotiate a lower fee. My dyad fee is $190 per 60-minute session. As of March 2020 all sessions are virtual via HIPPA-compliant video conferencing.
